To secure our next decade and extend the reach of those who can benefit from our work, we are launching a Development Fund. We have an offer of a generous lead gift – and in addition, the chance to benefit from very significant match funding if, and only if, we can raise £107,000 before the end of 2018. This gift and the match funding are central to our forward planning (see below) and will be used to set up the Development Fund moving into 2019. This means that a £1 donation made using Gift Aid* with the match will become £1.87.

You can help us to reach this target and to transform minds and build wisdom and hope in Muslim-Christian relations by contributing to our Development Fund. All gifts and donations can benefit from Gift Aid* and can be made by:

  • Clicking on the donate button and either setting up a monthly direct debit or making a one-off donation from your credit or debit card.

  • Setting up a standing order or direct debit from your bank account. Please download and fill in the Stewardship Services direct debit form and email it to Alternatively email or call us on 01865 613440 to request a hard copy of the form.

  • Writing a cheque, payable to ‘Solomon Academic Trust’ – the charitable body that operates CMCS and other projects, – and sending it to us at The Song School, 109a Iffley Road, Oxford OX4 1EH.

  • Donors in the USA can give to CMCS via the Bridge Trust USA, which is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) trust, via its donate page or by sending a check to the Bridge Trust USA Inc.; P.O. Box 1042, Wheaton, IL. 60187-1042.

*Gift Aid is a way for UK tax payers to ensure that the taxed portion of their donation is also given to the charity by the Inland Revenue. Donors in the USA can give to CMCS via the Bridge Trust USA which is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) trust.

If you are able to give, thank you. If you are not able to give, but would like to support the Centre, please think about your network of friends and contacts. If you know of people who may share the vision of CMCS and be able to support us financially, do let us know. We are happy to establish contact, make visits and invite them to the Centre at Oxford.

If we achieve this target, we will be able to build on a firm foundation and develop CMCS’s activities and impact further. It is a golden opportunity. Our plans for launching the next decade include:

  • Growing our academic team by recruiting at least one new full-time scholar, to work on our education and public life projects.

  • Building our organisational capacity by establishing a dedicated development (fundraising) team, comprising a development director and a communications and development officer.

  • Increasing our publishing and other output including both printed and website material.

  • Establishing a new financial advisory committee for a fixed term to support the Centre in growing its fundraising activity in the UK, thus securing our work for years to come.

You might also consider becoming a Friend of CMCS by giving a small monthly amount or a one-off lifetime donation.

Thank you for your support and encouragement.
